Thank you for writing this brilliant article. We need many more just like it.

Taxation = Legalized Extortion. It really is that simple.

Fact: When a person advocates in favor of taxation, they become a promoter of violence. In this case Warren Buffet is the promoter.

Explanation: Taxes are collected through the threat of force (ie "pay up or you go to jail"). If the threat doesn't work, the actual force itself is often used. Of course, if you resist imprisonment, you might actually be shot to death. Most thinking people understand that when you use force against peaceful individuals, you are committing violence. Therefore, if you support a system that does just that, you are a promoter of violence.

What would happen if we abolished taxation?
Ask yourself: If a given government program is truly a good idea, why would we need to force anyone to fund it? Shouldn't the mere fact that you need to use force to gather "support" for a new program tell you that perhaps your idea (initiative, social program or New Deal) actually sucks?

I agree with Warren Buffett. To talk about estate taxes in the same breath with charitable giving is disingenuous. The problem with the widening of the gap between what once was "middle class" and wealthy won't ever be adjusted by greed. Greed is the major reason for the exponentialy growing disparity. Corporate executives allocate to themselves the profits with blatent disregard for shareholders and basic necessities for their employees. If charitable giving could improve the living standard for all citizens there would be no need for taxes at all.

Certainly, as with any taxation scheme, there are inequities that should be addresses by
